Nervous about your next interview? It can be extra intimidating if your interviewer is an entrepreneur because you have little precedence on what to expect. Forbes asked 50 entrepreneurs who hire employees what their key questions are in order to create a dream team. Open-ended questions are always ideal, which is why my go-to is, “What does your average day look like?” It lets the interviewee have the floor, but what I’m really trying to figure out is how much they truly hustle and work. People who diligently work 10-12 hours per day are who I’m after.

Some other great questions include, “What the most entrepreneurial thing you’ve ever done?” and “If I gave you $100 to generate 10,000 visitors to my site, how would you do it?” This can really put the interviewee on the spot, but if you’re looking for a candidate to fill such a position, they should have a number of ideas already tucked away.

One interesting question is, “How many unread messages do you have in your inbox?” However, I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer to this question. Some hustlers have zero and some have a ton, but it tells you their communication style.
