Finally, encrypted messages are moving into “the norm,” but what does that mean for business? The Next Web asked a few experts, and I said that soon, more apps for use will be developed. If we’re going to prioritize privacy, then there will naturally be an influx of apps to support this. We can also expect E2E to become the go-to method, streamlined and prioritized. Already, we’re starting to see this but of course it’s going to take some companies awhile to catch up.

Companies will have to take an active role in educating themselves, researching options, and checking out the apps that support a more “private” digital experience. In many cases, this means smaller companies (or those without tech savviness) will be left in the dust. Surprisingly, the US falls victim to vulnerabilities more so than other companies—and our businesses will have to become more aggressive with their privacy.

Some pros say that the government and Hollywood will lead the pack, and that will give others a great model to copy.
