Business Collective asked nine professionals for their best tips on upping conversion. For me, the fastest and easiest way is to simply add photos of employees to the pages. People like to put a face to a name, so if you have workers taking calls, adding photos can be a big boon. It also helps personalize what’s often a very automated system. Since I’ve done this, our ROI has improved drastically. Plus, it’s free and takes seconds.

Other great tips include prioritizing benefits over features. Features are nice, but customers want to know what benefits them. You should also think of every interaction as a transaction. When you personalize, do it based on campaign. Customization is key, and there are many ways to go about it. Start with the fastest, simplest first.

Consider geo-targeting when analyzing customer behavior. Particularly if you have geographic niches, you’ll notice that customers may behave differently depending on where they are. Address each customer as an individual (again with that personalization!). Finally, take recently viewed items and incorporate them into the current customer journey.
