When the Benzinga blog featured the top six must-know folks in fintech, I was honored to be included. Blogger Brett Hershman compiled the list after attending Banking Disrupted (a fintech conference) in Silicon Valley earlier this month. The conference featured banks, startup founders, VCs and more all discussing where banking is headed and how fintech is playing a role. In the past four years, VCers have increased their giving to fintech by more than 600 percent. By the end of the year, the total is scheduled to be $40 billion.

At the moment, there are more than 12,000 fintech startups and the momentum just keeps building. How are they going to change the future of fintech? I made the list as the CEO of Due.com, cited because of the cloud accounting software and online invoicing options targeting small businesses. Plus, with over 1.1 million followers on Twitter, I was just named number two of 50 “online influencers in the world” from Entrepreneur Magazine.
