I talk to many entrepreneurs about what they should and shouldn’t do on a daily basis. Here are some of the right things you should be doing:

  1. Wake up on the “right” side of bed
  2. Have lukewarm lemon water first thing
  3. Charge your phone outside the bedroom
  4. Spend at least 15 minutes engaging with those you love without a screen
  5. Move more

Here is what I told Forbes:

Many people let their phone double as an alarm clock, but this is dangerous. It’s too tempting to check your email or Facebook in the middle of the night or as soon as you wake up. Get an old school alarm or use an old cell phone, and commit to not checking your messages for 30 minutes prior to bed. In the grand scheme of things, 30 minutes won’t make much of a difference and you can use this as “you time”. Entrepreneur John Rampton has tracked his sleeping habits and found that he has an increase of 30% in sleep by simply not charging his phone in his bedroom.
