TNW News asked five bloggers, including myself, what it takes to be awesome. Ask five bloggers and you’ll get five great answers! For me, I’m a big supporter of less is more when it comes to blogging. People are on so many devices and there are so many screen sizes, too much content can be overwhelming. Plus, without mobile readiness on some platforms, it can end up looking messy. If there’s too much of anything (text, images, links, etc.) you might turn off readers. You don’t want to bombard them and, even better for you, you don’t have to provide as much content!

Another tip? Make sure your content is shareable and embraced by at least one community—preferably a large one. Visuals can help with this if they’re done well. A well-placed infographic, short video, or quality image can make people click. However, the key word here is “well-placed.” Don’t get into too much of a good thing territory.

The more organized and educated you are about blogging and your target market, the better off you’ll be. Go into blogging with a game plan, and you can cut through the noise.
